Keystone October 2007 - Our Parish Bulletin

Editorial

Peace time is that wonderful period,
when on rare occasions
our world is free from terror, violence and war.

In October, we remember
the Mahatma, the apostle of non-violence.

The Lord said "Let there be peace."

What can we do to promote peace in our time?
As always, let us start with ourselves,
keep the peace in the bosom of the family.
If we keep on good terms with our neighbours,
we will have peace in our community.
If we start small, with peace in our community,
this can lead to peace in our city, the country,
the continent and then the world.

May the "Peace that passeth all
understanding" be with us all.

October is also the month
of the Rosary, and so if we dedicate
each decade of the Rosary to pray
for people of different faiths,
Peace will certainly have a chance.

Let there be peace on earth
& let it begin with me

- Marie D'Souza
