Every student needs a break from college
and the constant flipping of pages. And,
the working youth need a getaway from
the monotonous schedule of work!
It was precisely for this reason, that
the St Peter's Youth (SPY) organized a
dance training programme on 23rd September.
There were 53 youth that took part in
this Weekend Getaway led by
Mr Bosco Cliff helped by our very own
man, Darryl!
We had a grand time dancing the cha-cha-cha
with the walls, tripping over each other's
heels as well as our own, not to say the
least of the girls too.
By
and by, it got better. When the music
began, we paired off and practised, this
time with hand postures.
We soon got to dancing the jive which
was welcomed cheerfully, since it was
after a break which gave us a chance to
rush for some water, as we were all sweating.
The jive was easier and most of us picked
it up faster than
the cha-cha-cha.
The enjoyable session was brought to
an end by a power cut. We had to disperse,
but not without snacks and refreshments.
We will reminisce these beautiful moments
for time to come.
