General work of the Mission Coordinators
1. The Parish Council will be the Overall coordinating
group of the Parish Mission
2. The Parish Council must see that while we have other
activities in the parish, there must be a mission focus
for most of the parish activities.
3. The Core team of the P.C. will see that the relevant
points of it are brought up during P.C. meetings and
time in A.O.B. is also reserved for it.
4. Need to have regular evaluations along the way at
each implementation group level and at the Parish Council
level once in six months. (1st Evaluation in July; 2nd
in Feb 2007)
Task of each Mission Implementation Group
1. Fix a Lay coordinator
2. Each Key Concern has to make ‘Guidance’
available in, either as their objective or Action Plan
3. They should work out an Action Plan of 4-5 Specific,
measurable and time bound goals for each of the above
objectives. The objectives need to be a little more
concrete than at present.
4. The Action Plan will incorporate the many suggestions
given by our parishioners in the Survey. The Action
Plan should be S.T.E.A.M. (Set Priorities, Time Bound,
Easy Stepped, Achievable, Measurable.)
5. While the Mission tells us ‘Why’ we are
in existence; the Objectives & Action Plan tell
us ‘What’ we do here. And the Culture/Value
system (which needs to be worked out) tells us ‘How’
we go about it.
